So for a quick straw poll for slushie machine flavor syrups at my parties. There are a variety of fruit flavors, and I usually bring peach, strawberry, mixed berries, lemon and lime. The supply store also has coffee syrup. Would folks like me to bring that? It's presweeetened, but it only comes in gallon jugs, and you only need a couple of ounces of the syrup per drink.

A convention is what you make of it. The experience is what you make of it. Yes there are things that can be improved on I think we all can agree on that. But a lot of people tend to complain I've seen over the years and when you get down to what they were actually doing they set themselves up for being miserable. I think from what I was seeing, the hotel itself was a little overwhelmed by the amount of people there. So it probably was set up in such a way that the hotel thought it could accommodate everything and well clearly it didn't work out that way...

Honestly, a big reason why I did go was because DeadlyComics was a guest of honor, and wanted to check him out. Tough to say whether I'd do it again so soon afterward for "normal reasons" (not being used to cons, let alone what chaos in them is or isn't expected), but while I wish I wasn't as anxious and more social/offered more hugs (as in 'at all' for both), the events I went to were good, and even though I went to Donut Delight a fair amount, there were a few options within walking distance for food.

Fezti's Post Con Breakdown:
1. I feel like the AC was controlled more by the hotel owners than the congoers. My AC never hit below 70 degrees F and even then, I don't think it was that in my room.
2. The local food scene was lacking. I'm pretty well off money wise but I do like to eat cheap for lunch and was bummed about the lack of fast food near. I would have liked to see some food trucks come by and leave when they ran out of food.
3. People who got stuck in the Holiday Inn were also banished from the continental breakfast? Any time I went down there there was like, 6 people eating there; this seemed uneededly vindictive.
4. Something I was personally linked into: The parking situation on Saturday was concerning. At one point they weren't letting people in or out in confusion because they were trying to limit the amount of "con-goers but not hotel-patrons" from coming in. There needs to be a clear parking situation for this.
All in all, I think the hotel and convention center owners will be WELL prepared next year, now knowing what to expect.

I was in the Saturday Morning cartoons viewing room, and aside having cereal offered (thank you, from me being tired from the other night), and even if there wasn't a lot of people, it was fun seeing people banter to the crazy cartoons from that era. Iโ€™m really impressed with my car though. I filled up full in Cromwell CT on Thursday and drove route 15 to Stamford and then drove back today and made it all the way home and I still have enough to get to work tomorrow and back. And this is with cargo and two passengers.

This means a lot. My original plan was a bit bigger, but last minute computer issues limited my options. I plan for a bigger and better setup with a larger number of games and stations.
